This Privacy and Cookie Policy applies to the Indiknots website, including the pages where you browse our work, request guidance, or send an enquiry. It explains the information we collect through the website, why we use it, the services that help us operate the site, and the choices available to you.

For an order placed through a separate sales, payment, or delivery channel, the information shared in that channel may be subject to additional notices or terms presented there. We will update this policy if the website’s data practices materially change.

Information we collect

Information you choose to provide

When you use the contact form or otherwise get in touch with us, we may receive:

• your name;
• your email address and phone number;
• the type of enquiry you select; and
• the message, room details, product preferences, or other information you choose to include.

Please share only the information needed for your enquiry. Do not send payment-card details, government identification numbers, passwords, or other sensitive information through the contact form.

Information created when you use the site

Our website uses Vercel Web Analytics to understand how the site performs and which pages are useful. Vercel records anonymised, aggregated usage data such as the page or route visited, the referring page, timestamp, approximate location, device type, browser, and operating system. The implementation does not send your contact-form fields as analytics events.

We also save your chosen light, dark, or system colour preference in your browser so the site can remember it when you return. This is browser local storage, not a cookie.

Information from third-party resources

The site loads the Manrope font from Google Fonts. When your browser requests those font resources, Google receives the technical information ordinarily required to deliver web content, such as your IP address and browser details. Google’s handling of that request is governed by its own privacy documentation.

How we use information

We use the information described above to:

• respond to enquiries, provide product or service guidance, and continue a conversation you asked us to have;
• operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website;
• understand aggregate visits, page performance, referrers, and device patterns; and
• meet legal obligations or protect our rights, visitors, and services where necessary.

We do not use contact-form information for behavioural advertising. We do not sell personal information. We do not use the current website implementation to create advertising profiles or to track visitors across unrelated websites.

Analytics

Vercel Web Analytics is enabled on this website. It automatically records page views, including client-side page changes, so we can understand how visitors use the site. Vercel states that its Web Analytics product does not use third-party cookies or keep data that identifies a visitor across different websites; it uses a request-derived visitor hash that resets after one day.

Analytics records are used as aggregated site statistics. The site does not configure custom analytics events, and contact-form entries are not passed to Vercel Web Analytics by the website code.

Cookies and local storage

Cookies are small files placed by a website in a browser. Local storage is a browser feature that lets a website retain a setting on the same device. The current Indiknots website uses the following technologies.

Colour preference

Indiknots uses browser local storage with the key nuxt-color-mode to remember your light, dark, or system colour preference. You can clear this preference by clearing site storage in your browser or by changing the setting in the site. This is not a cookie.

Vercel Web Analytics

Vercel Web Analytics is cookie-free. It produces anonymised, aggregate information about pages, referrers, approximate location, browser, device, and operating system. Vercel Web Analytics does not set a third-party analytics cookie. Browser privacy controls can still limit related network activity.

Google Fonts

Google Fonts is an external resource used to deliver the Manrope font. You can use browser settings or extensions that restrict third-party resource requests; the site may then use a fallback font.

We do not currently load advertising pixels, social-media tracking scripts, Google Analytics, or a cookie-based marketing analytics service. If we introduce a non-essential cookie, advertising technology, or similar tracking tool in the future, we will update this policy and seek consent where the law requires it before enabling that technology.

When we share information

We limit access to personal information to people and service providers who need it for the purposes above. Depending on the service you use, information may be handled by:

• authorised Indiknots team members responding to your enquiry;
• the systems that receive and process a contact-form submission on our behalf;
• Vercel, which provides the website analytics service described above; and
• Google, when your browser requests a Google Fonts resource.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to respond to a lawful request, or to protect the safety, rights, property, or security of Indiknots, our visitors, or others. If our business is reorganised or transferred, relevant information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

Retention and security

We keep contact information for as long as reasonably needed to respond to the enquiry, maintain appropriate business records, resolve a concern, or meet a legal obligation. We aim to delete or anonymise information when it is no longer needed for these purposes.

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect information from unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so please use care when deciding what to send to us.

Your privacy choices and requests

Depending on where you live and the circumstances, you may be able to ask us to:

• confirm whether we hold personal information about you and provide access to it;
• correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
• delete information that is no longer needed or withdraw consent where processing relies on consent;
